Medicine for the Heart

For almost a decade, I have been sharing cacao ceremonies in Zurich and abroad. My own journey with cacao has been profoundly transformative — this plant spirit has opened my heart, deepened my connection to nature, and guided me toward inner healing. It is my honour to share this medicine with you, whether in an intimate one-on-one, in a group setting, or as part of a retreat or training.

The Spirit of Cacao

Cacao is far more than a drink — it is a sacred plant teacher used for centuries by the Mayan and other Indigenous peoples for healing, prayer, and connection. It is known as a gentle yet powerful heart-opener, helping us release emotional blockages, invite more joy, and return to a state of harmony with ourselves and the world.

When approached with intention, cacao works as a bridge — between body and soul, between our inner truth and the outer world, and between each of us and the great web of life.

Depending on the intention and setting, a cacao ceremony with me may include:

Practical Details

• Not recommended during pregnancy or when taking antidepressants. For pregnant participants, we can offer a lighter dose or cacao husk tea.
• For a deeper experience, avoid coffee and alcohol on the day of the ceremony (and ideally the evening before).
• Fasting or having a light meal before the ceremony can support the process.
• Please let me know if you are pregnant or have a heart condition so we can adapt the dose for you.

In this winter ceremony, we look back at the season and the wisdom it has offered. What have been the teachings? What wants to be carried forward as nourishment into the coming year?

We open the heart and mind with ceremonial cacao, restorative yoga, and meditation. After an introduction to shamanic journeying and the language of dreams, you will be guided through an intuitive sound and dream journey — a gateway into the liminal spaces of the imagination and the subconscious.

Spring Cacao Ceremony:
Earth Healing Ceremony

Sunday, April 19, 2026 – 14:00 – 18:00

An afternoon devoted to the slow awakening of spring — within and around us.

Together with cacao, movement, sound, song, and a spring ritual, we attune to the living presence of Mother Earth and the five elements. This ceremony is an invitation to soften, to listen, and to realign your inner landscape with the subtle turning of the season.

Summer Cacao Ceremony in Nature:

Plant Spirit Connection

Thursday, July 16th, 2026 – 18:00 – ca. 21:30

In this annual summer ceremony, we deepen our relationship with the plant realm. You will be introduced to the foundations of plant communication and learn how to cultivate a genuine and sustainable connection with plants and other helping spirits.

Cacao supports this process by guiding us from the mind into the heart. From heart to heart, we open to the current of life in all its forms.

Water & Creativity

In the season of autumn, the element of water becomes our guide — awakening the creative realm and the deep emotional waters held in the sacral chakra. This ceremony invites you to explore what it means to create and to express from your inner truth. How do your emotions shape your creativity? What wants to move from the inside out?

Through cacao and the gentle guidance of your own voice, you are supported in gathering your creative power and carrying it into the world — so that your light may be seen.

Late Autumn Cacao Ceremony:
Ancestral Connection & Dreamworld Journey

Friday, November 13th, 2026 – 18:15 – ca. 21:30

A late-autumn ceremony to remember and reconnect with your ancestral lineage. With the medicine of ceremonial cacao, we journey into the subtle realms of symbols, memory, and inherited wisdom.

This evening invites you to receive guidance, deepen your roots, and restore the threads that connect you to your lineage. The ceremony is supported by Yin Yoga and medicine music.

Flavia facilitates group spaces that weave together song, ceremony, rest, and shared presence. Whether through Bhakti singing circles, cacao ceremonies, or Yoga Nidra gatherings, her intention is to create environments where people feel welcomed, seen, and connected to something larger than themselves. Her group offerings invite participants to soften into the heart, to rest deeply, and to remember the nourishment of community. Her facilitation is gentle and spacious, rooted in trust, intuitive listening, and the shared joy of being together. 

Flavia Ghidossi creates heart-centered group experiences designed to deepen connection, community and spiritual flow. Her offerings include weekly Yin & Yoga Nidra classes, Bhakti Singing Circles, cacao & ritual evenings, plant-spirit retreats, as well as offerings as a gro.
